Day 1 done
Nov. 18th, 2021 11:51 amI did it already. I walked all through our very large Goodwill store. So that's done. Next up Costco. Maybe tomorrow maybe Saturday.
Yesterday's ginger cookies were the weirdest wonderful fail. For one thing, I did not chill them long enough. But, otherwise, I don't know what went wrong. They flattened out like pancakes. They look like they should be thrown out. But OMG are they ever delicious. Kind of a ginger/toffee thing.
I think more flour. I need to make them again and fix or maybe revisit the original recipe and compare. But, honestly if they always turn out butt ugly and delicious, I'm not sure I'm going to hate that.
Biggie's having a weird day. Hilariously, he stayed in bed this morning snoozing away until he heard the final jeopardy music then he got up and stretched and waited for me to get off the treadmill. He knows the routine.
Later I pulled a shirt out of the closet to wear and put it on the bed. I did another thing and when I turned around he was stretched out on the shirt. Where he stayed. Until I got back from Goodwill! (Yes, I put on a different shirt.)
He got into my lap as soon as I sat down. He snuggled in and then he bit me. So I put him on the floor. Lather rinse repeat. But, these were not break the skin bites, these were just teeth resting on skin bites. So weird. Finally, he gave up and just nestled in for a while.
But, he's not doing any of his usual things so I don't know what's up. I did manage to get close up photos of the tops and the bottoms of his feet and sent them to the vet so she could see what a great job she did.
No word from the doctor about moving my prescriptions. It's a good thing I've got plenty of each on hand. Sure hope I don't get sick and need him any time soon. Geesh. I do love him but part of that love has always been that he's been there when I needed him. Remove that from the equation and I wonder... Fortunately, he's in a huge practice with lots of other doctors so it's not like I'd be totally stranded.
Old people and their doctors...
And speaking of old people...
spacefem turned me onto the coolest sub reddit. Ask Old People. We ask that only people who are Generation X (1965-1980) or older respond to questions directly. Others are more than welcome to respond to comments and join in the conversation, but if you are younger, please restrict your activity to asking questions and responding to other comments. Some of the questions are funny and revealing and lots of the answers are fun and interesting.
