I woke up this morning and immediately started fretting about where I was going to walk or go or somehow get just the tiniest bit of exercise. Nothing I thought of appealed even minutely. I lay there and fretted about it for a good 15 minutes. This is just ridiculous. I think I'm just going to walk around a couple of blocks. I hate it so much. But I almost hate stressing about it more. Ridiculous!

Yesterday, Biggie was a bit lethargic. Not overly so but he just kind of lounged around not even bothering to knock stuff off of stuff.

Today he is the opposite. He has the actual zoomies which he has not had in a long time. I do not even know where he is right now. Robby is down in the sewing room finishing up Part 1 of the Friday Vacuum. So maybe he's down their watching.

Yep, apparently so. Robby just went back to his charger and Biggie strolled in behind.

When I first pulled the fish bed from the washer, I could not get it to stand correctly and it fell over every time Biggie got in it. So I got onto Amazon and ordered up a replacement. Meanwhile, I figured out the fish bed fix and installed the lights and all was fine.

But, yesterday the Amazon order arrived and while I knew I should send it back - I mean Biggie has more beds than Howard Johnson did back in his heyday. But I thought, well, let's just set it up and see and then send it back.

Ooops. Amazon's not getting this one back. It's way smaller than the bubble bed or the fish bed. No need for lights since it's too small fo him to have anyone over. But, seriously, cute. He stayed in there all night.

Next up is a shower. Then pick up the toys in here and set Robby to work on Part 2. I guess I'll do my walk around the block while he's working. Only fair.

Also today I need to find a new book. I'm at the end of the Michael Connelly's latest. It's a very poorly done audiobook - one reader doing all the voices except Bosch's (who's not even the main character). And I was not wild about the writing or the plot at the start but it grew on me and now I'm totally invested. My next favorite author, Thomas Perry, has a new one but it's not out until January. So the hunt is on.

I am NOT a vegetable lover - not even close. I am particularly UNfond of cooked peas and carrots. His goto breakfast is this:

And it cracks me up when, every morning, Biggie finishes off most of his breakfast and what is left is mainly peas and carrots. I feel ya, bro.

Also I had a couple of rounds of dining etiquette training besides my Mom who was pretty vigilant. In grade school I had classes on Saturday and in high school we had several seminars. All of them were very clear that when dining as a guest, it is kind and proper to always leave a biteful or two on your plate. This indicates that the food was delicious and that you did not go wanting more, that you had a sufficiency.

Biggie don't need no stinkin' etiquette. He's got it. Leaving the peas and carrots - two birds... he's so smart.

I'm discovering that my judgement of my own baking, if made just after I finish the job, is nearly always flawed. Part of it is dough eating and the smells and the expectations.

Usually, I freeze a good half or more of whatever it is. Today I was cleaning out the freezer - again. And found a baggie of cheese straws that I made a while back. At the time I thought they were good. But not outstanding. When I finished the organizing, I pulled out a few and popped them into air fryer for a couple of mins.

OMG totally star baker quality!! So good. Now I'm going to have to make more. Good thing I kept the recipe and added notes.

I was going to make more ginger cookies tomorrow. I found a new recipe with new ideas. But then I thought some banana bread would be good. Now I think cheese straws.

I did catch up with the latest British Bake Off earlier this afternoon. Possibly that influenced my thots.
