Remember when I thought once The Tree That I Hate lost its leaves, the birds would move on? I was so wrong. Happily, however, Biggie seems content to stay on this side of the glass door and just watch.

I ordered a full Thanksgiving dinner from a local grocery chain There are all kinds of restaurants and groceries offering up varying degrees of Thanksgiving dinner but they all start at 4 servings and go up. I sure don't want dinner for 4. I discovered several years ago that the Metropolitan Market has a 'for 2' option and I tried it. Been going back every year. For some reason I hesitated before ordering this year. No idea why and am sure glad, today, that I went ahead.

I pick mine up at 10.

It's Thursday so I don't have to do extra steps. My MWF plan is still not carved in stone but I did figure out a third place to add to my regiment. I have Costco and Goodwill and last night I realized that Home Depot would be a great addition. It's not far from here (like the other two). Easy parking and miles of flat, climate controlled walking with interesting stuff to see. So. Yeah! I'll probably end up doing Costco on Wednesdays but the other two are really weekday agnostic. Now we are getting to a solid plan.

I was just getting ready to sign off and go get dressed when someone climbed up and cuddled into my lap. Now I'm stuck.

The Metropolitan Market is an upscale market for Seattle Karens. But, they also good stuff. I cut a swath through there today and treated myself to some goodies. Like a couple of their quiche's which are fabulou and freeze beautifully. And Sonoma Brinery pickles which are expensive but oh so good. And extra dressing and extra mashed potatoes (both of which will also freeze well).

Here's the full Thanksgiving dinner. It also included cranberry sauce but I'd rather have the canned jelly so I left it. But, this year, they threw in a nice little salad which I think was in error (it didn't show up on any list or receipt but I'm ok with that). And the quantities are more. That's enough green beans to last me a lifetime and a whole fucking pumpkin pie!!!

GOOOOOd eatin' for a while!

The Market is on the north side of downtown and I'm on the south. There was zero traffic anywhere.

So far, great Thanksgiving for sure.

Now I think I'll knit a bit and finish off Season 1 of Baptiste. Amazon is dumping it December 1 so I need to get it watched.
