Remembering those we have lost, supporting those living with HIV and still, still still working for a cure. May it PLEASE come soon.

Edited later: [livejournal.com profile] notdefined has a far more informative entry on the subject.

Costco. That's today's walk. Depending on the crowd size, I probably won't buy anything BUT... if I do, it's likely to be Christmas peppermint bark. I wouldn't mind getting one of their meatloafs but I need to eat out of my freezer some more. And if I'm good, I can get one next week.

If I still have money after this now multi-day stock market plunge. Yikes.

I need toilet paper but I'm over Costco toilet paper. My new favorite is 365 from the Amazon Fresh store. I'll get some when I next go for orange juice.

I have a thing on my back. It's an old people skin thing that keeps getting irritated by my waistband. I can just about reach it to get a bandage on it but keeping it bandaged does not seem to help. I ordered up some foam bandages with antibiotic cream embedded. Amazon says they are 4 steps away. If they don't work then it's on to professional wound care. I got an email a while back from my doctor's office. They have a special phone number to nurse adviser for medicare peops. I'm going to give that a go.

The door is open and there's some weird smell coming in. Like kind of gasolene-y/smoke-y. I just heard fire engines but then they went in another direction.

I found a very weird and fun 6 episode series on Britbox yesterday. The Cleaner. I only watched 3 of the episodes but I now keep thinking about them. I'll likely scarf up the rest today. Oh and The Tower comes to Britbox, today, too.

My MWF walks are working out so far. The trip to Costco was good. Hard, but fine. I did get the bark. Self checkout with 1 item was fast and easy. Everyone else there (and there were a lot of them) were buying multiples of everything. Watching Costco carts is always a trip.

I still would rather be home doing nothing but I need to move and this is a good way to make sure it happens. I may be using Tuesdays and Thursdays for things like Trader Joes and other groceries.

The other day a woman who lives down the hall was parking her gynormous SUV and muttering about having the 'worst parking space on earth'. I thought about that for a couple of days and today put a note on her windshield explaining where my parking spot is and offering to trade. My spot is bigger and has much easier access/egress. It is one floor down from theirs. I'd be delighted if they take me up on it.

I made sauted cheerios for dinner. YUM. (Over med high heat, melt butter and then add cheerios and salt and stir until the cheerios start to brown a little.) They are good worm and just as good when they cool off.

Tyler (the financial adviser) is going to go visit with the CPA that Gordon is recommending. Whew. So whatever Tyler tells me to do, I'll do. I'm so lucky to have such a good advisor.

The fancy space age bandage I put on this morning has done wonders already. It's stayed on and kept the irritation at bay. You are supposed to leave it on until it comes off on its own. Fine by me! I'm delighted to have a pain free day without worrying about the damn thing.

Biggie is trying to get into trouble. He keeps sitting by his bowl like he wants food but there is still some of his favorite food in the bowl. So now he's just wandering around looking for stuff to knock off the table or pens to chew. Time to turn one of his toys on, I think.
