The bridge that connects me to my gym with the good pool was closed only a few days after the first COVID lock down. It's broke. The city said.

The pool there is treated with bromine. Chlorine treated pools wreck my lungs after about 2 swims but bromine is good. There are two bromine pools semi-nearby. One is a tedious 20+ minutes north of here (and is currently broken). The other is 9 minutes from here via the broken bridge, or 45 mins from here via the detour.

From the day it opened in 2015 until the day the bridge broke in 2020, I swam there nearly every single day. I really miss it.

Yesterday they announced the bridge will reopen on July 14, 2022. I might not go that day but I do plan a lovely swim on July 15, 2022.

The stock market is really tanking today. I think I'll just not look for a few weeks. On the bright side, if I lose enough, finding a new CPA becomes a non issue. Tyler (the finance guy) called yesterday (about my CPA crisis, I'm sure) but after one ring, the call dropped. I don't know if he butt dialed, if my end got wonky, or if the got interrupted and decided to call later. I decided not to sweat it. If I don't hear from him by next week, I'll call him. Today he's probably holding hands with clients who are freaking the fuck out.

Today, according to my new app, is bathroom day. Toilets, sink (weekly), shower and floor (every two weeks). I finally wrestled the app to the ground and have it set up now and I think it's going to work fine.

Tomorrow would have been house cleaner day and I would just now be starting to stress over it all. Will she come, will she be on time, where to go while she's here, is she done yet? And then, oh, crap, she forgot xxx or she missed yyy.

I'm, at least so far, delighted with my decision to end it. My house is cleaner by far and I am enjoying the satisfaction of completing the daily chores. And I'm saving the $$. Suck a nice win.

My new sim arrived - Tello. This is for the backup phone. I need go get the phone (down in the car) and bring it up to get the sim in and activated properly. The goal is to have two working phones - data, voice and text, with the combined monthly tab under $20. (I have a voice only sim that is $3 a month (for emergencies) but adding data to that is very pricey.) And then I need to cancel Twigby which turned out to be too pricey for a backup phone.

Uh oh. Biggie's on the counter sitting next to his bowl which means it is empty and needs to be filled. Guess this is my clue to get up and fill it and I might as well get dressed and get going while I'm at it.

I tried a new bubbly scrubbing thing (because at the time there were no scrubbing bubbles) and it works great because I think it's pretty much all bleach. I used it on the toilets and on the shower and I think I may be smelling it forever. At least it smells clean.

After my entry this morning, I decided to call the gym and see about the pool. It's open. It's fine. No reservations needed. Now if I could just get there.

I got the sim installed in my car phone and it fucked up my Google Voice but tweaks here and there and help from my brother "call me, plz, i promise not to answer" and it's fixed. Car phone going back to the glove box. Canceled Twigby.

Got new drugs from Humana and put them all in their little pill boxes. I have enough now to get me right into my next annual checkup when I'll get them all renewed or get new ones.

I ate lunch out of the freezer. Honestly, I think some of that food that's in there now probably needs to bypass my mouth and go to the dumpster. What was I thinking??

Way back when I was still going to the pool every day, I stopped listening to NPR - mostly because the woman who hosted the Sunday morning show just irritated the hell out of me. Also their coverage had pretty much gone the way of all TV and radio news... down down down. But, honestly, if that host had not ruined Sundays, I'd probably still be listening out of habit. Today I learned she left NPR for the New York Times back in September!! No one told me. Guess I'll have to listen on Sunday as see what it's like now.

I'm trying not to start a new yarn project until I finish the two that are more than halfway done now. I'm trying but I think I'm going to fail.
