Biggie is his old self except maybe a little smaller attention span. His stitches look fine and are still a little warm to the touch (I expect this for the next couple of days). Last night he crawled under the covers and into my stomach. A blissful way to go to sleep. He got up a lot of times in the night and then would come back to bed for a while and then repeat.

He ate his weight yesterday. And the bowl was empty again this morning. He's cut back a little today but been back to the dish several times. He made appropriate contributions to the litter box.

He has shown zero interest in his stitches so I've let him go without the cone. As cute as I think it is, he's not all that fond.

He's very good about taking pills now. It's kind of remarkable and very appreciated. He's purring in my lap right now but keeping an eye on the window. Just in case.

I was just checking on various accounts/bills including my internet/tv bill. For some mysterious reason, I used more than twice the usual amount of data last month. Very curious. I pay for and unlimited amount but I keep an eye on it out of curiosity. It is very curious about last month. This month seems back on track. But weird.

We have a low key day planned today. I need some cash. I like to pay for my Goodwill purchases with cash. I always kept a steady flow because the housecleaner needed to be paid in cash. But, now, Goodwill is the only cash use left. So I don't need much but some. Also I thought it might be good to keep a little on hand for justincase.

So I'll do my walking to the ATM. And I need to make a dumpster run. But mainly I think Biggie and I will just hang out here and enjoy each other's company.

He's torn this morning between my lap and the birds. I'm going to get up in a minute and make the decision for him.

Every time I sit down, Biggie sits in my lap. Fine by me. It's cold in here today and he's 10 pounds of pure heat. We might get snow tomorrow. Well, here, a block from the sea, we'll get a flake maybe. But still. Cold and gray, just the way I like it.

My financial advisor, Tyler, called this morning. He had apparently left me voice mails that joined those from the vet in never never land. But, I set that phone number to go right to the real voice mail and left a message to call the other number if they want to talk to me and that worked! So. yeah. Phone issues not solved but at least fixed.

Tyler had all kinds of CPA options for me. He said he was as shocked as I was at Gordon's retiring. Except he'd actually met Gordon so knew it was a possible. Of all those options, we agreed that my doing it myself with Turbo Tax makes the best sense.

Then I went and signed into Intuit and looked around and the updated my Mint account which had not been touched in years. I figured that it might help to have that stuff current. Then I went to the IRS site just to check in. So, now I'm ready. Will be nice to save some coin, too.

And speaking of which. I did go get cash and walked around the block and discovered that one of the empty storefronts in this very building is now a COVID testing site! Their sign says they offer rapid tests. I suspect for a pretty penny. But nice to know it's there, tho. Not quite as good as a coffee or sandwich shop but handy.
