I caught Biggie lickig his tummy a couple of times yesterday and was worried he was screwing with his stitches and would have to start wearing a cone. But, it looks now like he was just doing his usual washing. The stitches are fine and so is he.

For the first 2.5 years of his life, he refused to be carried anywhere, would sit in my lap if I begged and then only for a minute or two. And spent most of his time outside, under the bed or in the sewing room by himself.

Then he took the leap off the balcony and knocked some switch loose. He turned into Mr. Cuddly Lap Cat.

I was afraid that this latest medical issue my unknock that switch but no. He still loves my lap and I still love that he does.

I think I'm going to take my lap to Goodwill today. I need a pitcher. I ran out of orange juice and had to make up my frozen concentrate backup. Only turns out, I donated all my pitchers to Goodwill (I didn't like any of them anyway). I had to make up the OJ in a bowl. I need a pitcher. Amazon has plenty but this is just the kind of thing that Goodwill was made for. So a shopping I shall go. Plus steps.

I've been very good about eating out of my freezer and my food bill shows it. I've spent way less than half this month on groceries and zero on restaurants. And my freezer is getting a little breathing room. This may not last - I'm going to need some Asian food soon. But, for now, it's been a successful campaign.

I'd like to get up and get going but I cannot stand to disturb this furry bundle. He's sawing logs like he's going to build a whole new neighborhood.

This is from yesterday. I set robby to work on the terrace and Biggie did not let him out of his sight.
