I got cash and I got gas. I'm proud. I should have gotten the car washed but two out of three's not bad.

Now we're watching the ballgame. Travis's new favorite spot is under the table on the ottoman or in one of the chairs. Betty's taking advantage of his not being in my lap and claiming that for herself.

I just got email from my boss with news of the new 401K. The good news is that we're finally getting it. The bad news is that in order to get the most tax advantage for this calendar year, I'm going to be cash poor for the second half of the year. I'm going to have to stuff a big ole piece of my paycheck into the plan to get the most out of it.

He's matching the usual percentage but, because he was so late in the year, he's going to stuff everyone's account with a bonus. I think that is very cool. He's such a good guy. At least I can afford to contribute the max and, it's not like I'm saving for an unforeseeable future, I absolutely can see it!

The folks building the building across the street work on Saturdays and now, since they are moving up to my level, I'm hearing much more construction detail. So much, in fact, that I can't even hear the football game going on in the stadium. It's University of Wa and I don't know how many actually showed up to see the game so maybe there isn't anything to hear. It was nice to hear the marching band before the game, though.
