Today is clean up day. I moved from one cubicle to one in another room (to get away from the Twinkies) about a month ago. The guy in charge of moves here told me I could 'probably move on Monday'. When it turned out he wasn't here that Monday, I made the unilateral decision to ignore the 'probably'. (I'm bigger than he is anyway so I wasn't worried about a show down.

The point to that is that I moved in kind of a hurry and never got things as organized as I would like. I had a lot more room over in Twinkieville so I just kind of crammed stuff in here. So it's time, now, to get it organized.

Plus - and here's the ulterior motive - I can't find my Paint Shop Pro book. I know it's here somewhere.

My work area is spotless and organized. I went through every drawer every pile and everything is in its proper place. I mean everything. It looks like the person who sits here is the poster boy for Tidy Week!

On the down side, I had plenty of time to do this today... The calm before the holidays has set in. There is nothing going on and it's only Thursday. I'm thinking the next 3 and a half days are going to be pretty dead. I need to get creative about how I'm going to use this time...

Doncha just hate it when your browser plays tricks on you? Or does that just happen to me? I use IE6. Yesterday or the day before my home machine started doing funny stuff. Some web pages - not all, and not LJ - but some web pages were displaying the worlds teensy weensy font size. I think I didn't notice it at first until I happened on my own page and they were teensy weensy letters, too! They are the right size at work. Microscopic at home.

I tried everything. I screwed with the display fonts and it didn't fix it. I messed with the resolution. That wasn't it. I went to the Microsoft Knowledge Base but the print was too small to even see the results!

And then the Duh... In IE there's a 'feechur' I always forget about. View>Text Size. Some prankster - Betty?? Jake??? - had set that sucker to 'smallest'. And, no shit - when they say smallest, they mean smallest. Fixed now and it will be a while until I get caught by that trick again.
