Gym Report - exercise

Good good gym day.  Everything just worked and me, too.  I'm sweating bullets here. 

I remembered I had a small Zen player I do not use any more since i upgraded to the one that is better for books.  So I drug the old one out and pointed it to the external hard drive I use to keep my music on and told it to 'fill 'er up'!  Then I set it to shuffle. 

The mix is hilarious and it made the exercises a lot more fun.   Not clear why I didn't think of this eons ago.

Now I need to get my sweaty self into the shower.

Gym Report - exercise

Good good gym day.  Everything just worked and me, too.  I'm sweating bullets here.

Retail Therapy

After my shower this morning, I decided to go do errands.  I had a list of stuff to look for and I wanted to peruse the Back to School supplies before they got all picked to death.  So out I went.  It was painless and nice and I sated my retail therapy needs without even spending too much money.  I got a little of this and a little of that and did not get a whole lot of stuff. 

I need steak but I ran out of steam before I could get to either of my two best steak options.  I think I'll just do without probably until next week.  I have pork chops.  And Stouffers.

In the mail when I got home was a Barnes & Noble gift card from one of my clients!  I've worked on her project in one way or another for 3 years.  For a lot of different reasons, I begged off the project.  My boss agreed but has taken a really long time finding a replacement.  He finally sealed the deal this past week and the client (the one who contracts with my company to have the work done) sent me a lovely thank you note for all my work and the gift card.  What a classy thing for her to do. 

The Seahawks are having or had a practice kind of something at the stadium today.  The 'hood is full of people in Seahawks gear and the marching drum people are making all kinds of noise.  I can't see the action but I can hear it.  It's slowing down as I type this so maybe it's over.  The Mariners are home for their game tonight. 

It's a lovely still kind of cool day.  The weather people are promising that tomorrow the heat goes back on.  I might just take advantage of the last cool day and wander up to the International District for dinner tonight.  Maybe.  Right now I'm just interested in sitting for a bit.

Remember how impressed I was with Comcast service?  Both the phone and the technician who came out?  Well, now I'm not quite so impressed.   My bill has a one time charge of $19.99 for 'Service Call'.  Neither person I dealt with mentioned this charge.  And $19.99 is a stupid amount.  It's an amount clearly set to annoy me and not to offset their expenses. 

On the up side, I had been impressed enough to consider maybe switching my internet over.  I'd been working through the details of that in my mind but this puts the kibosh on that.  I am not opposed to paying.  I am opposed to being slapped with an annoyance fee without even so much as a hint that I might.
