WARNING!!!!
Jun. 25th, 2021 09:53 amMy phone, Alexa, every news site, Twitter, and tv news is screaming DANGEROUSLY HOT WEATHER COMING. Tomorrow, Sunday and Monday. With Monday promising to fry every cell we have. These warnings are kind of implying that Tuesday won't matter because there won't be survivors.
And speaking of survivors, as one who lives above the ground floor in a condo, that Miami condo collapse is just too close to home. And I'm only on the 4th floor with one floor above me. Yikes. Just horrendous in so very many ways. And who pays for that clean up? Our HOA has insurance for the building's common areas but if our building collapsed like that, I cannot imagine how many decades it would take for the various insurance companies to fight out a settlement. So, meanwhile, who cleans up? I wonder how long it will take them to track down the missing people. And the ones who got out alive. So many now with only the flip flops (if they are lucky) on their feet.
I'm even more grateful today for my air conditioner and home in one piece and flip flops on my feet. I have most of the lights - even the LED ones off. Well, live in the cool dark now until at least next week. It's apparently even too hot for Biggie this morning. He's in here chillin' with me.

He's had his pill du jour. Initially, he was fine with a pill a day but then it turned into pill fighting. Finally I got some pill pockets and this morning he gobbled a loaded one up with gusto. Whew.
Today's plan is mostly to finish off the sewing project. That room is a mess and I can't wait to but it back right again. The baseball game is at 5. Otherwise. I b coolin'
