And the beat goes on
Jul. 16th, 2021 04:37 pmToday has been another good one. We started with breakfast at 13 Coins. I used to love this place and then a few years ago, they just tanked. The food was not that great. The service was horrible and it was just icky. Bill suggested we give it another try and I'm so glad we did. The food was great, the service was good and it's all clean an shiny now. So yeah!!
We ran more errands and then Bill had a Zoom meeting so back here. After his Zoom meeting we went to Seattle Edge and bought me knives. I have two wonderful knives that I'm always afraid to use because I don't know how to sharpen them. And the rest of my knives are cheapo that don't cut.
Madeleine was the perfect knife hostess. We learned a lot about knives and I bought two. I'm so excited to cut! They are backlogged on sharpening now but in a couple of weeks, I'll take my two big ones in for sharpening. She said to hone them every 3 or 4 uses and then bring them in for sharpening every year/year and a half. I can sure do that.
Tonight we are off to El Gaucho. This used to be a wonderful place and then it got kind of groddy and then they closed it and moved it and opened up more restaurants. I'm hoping it's wonderful. The menu sure looks delicious.
Biggie no longer sleeps with me, but apparently, slept with Bill most of the night last night. He's also eating much better (Biggie, that is... well, actually Bill's eating nicely too).
