Biggie, that is. He's been glued to me since he got home yesterday. It will be interesting to see what he does when I take a shower. He seems to get where he wants to go on his new 'legs'. And lordknows they are way better than those heavy casts when he whips one my way.

I have taken to typing up notes about how he's doing, how much medicine I gave him and any question and tucking it into his carrier. Yesterday's note included "This week's shenanigans included his hopping up on the dining table and eating my mashed potatoes." (Which is true. He all of a sudden loves licking my plate and eating my leftovers.)

The office sends my receipt and care notes via email after each visit. Last night's care note included (Almond Joy is his official name. Biggie is a nickname):

"Almond Joy continues to improve, likely due to his supplemental diet of mashed potatoes."

I love Dr. Moore. She also told me on the phone yesterday that next week, we'll go to the same office again. "But, in two weeks I'll be back at White Center so... More Popeye's!!"

Biggie of the now.

I got my invoice for next season's Mariner ticket. $5,900 (20 games + all of the luxuries of the Diamond Club - free dinner and snacks and drinks and in seat service and fabulous seats). Happily, I had a $4,400 credit on my tab so I only had to pay $1,500. But now I am all set and even have my list o' games. First one is Saturday, April 2!

I'm on rabid FedEx watch today. Right now it shows my phone is not yet on the delivery truck. I need to steel myself for a possible delay until tomorrow. I can do it.

The wind has died down for now. There were not nearly as many leaves on the terrace this morning. But they are rapidly abandoning The Tree That I Hate and soon I'll be able to reconnect with my neighbors across the street.

I forget the routine of getting a new phone. The highs and lows and battery life. You see all the cool new stuff and it's so cool. And then you find a couple of things that aren't like they were in a very not good way and you can't find the settings to fix them. And then, after several hours you see that your battery is draining like a die with craters and then you remember that you've had the thing on and been actively using it for several hours.

Been through all of that today.

FedEx brought it about 11. And I've been playing with it non-stop for 4 hours! Porting an old Pixel to a new one takes about 5 minutes these days. And an amazing amount of info comes with the transfer but you still have to log on to every single damn thing and find passwords and settings that you haven't used since the last transfer.

One of my banks requires my drivers license which is down in the car. But most everything else is set up and operational. And my el chepo case is actually perfect. It easily holds a credit card and a $20 bill and really that's all I need. It's slim and grippy.

It is a big 'un. But I don't mind and I appreciate the extra screenage plus it feels good in my hand. And it is way easier to see stuff on it.

So no buyers remorse here.

I also did lots o' laundry today. Most of it is done, folded and put away but there is still a little waiting on the bed to get finished.

Biggie has not left this chair all day long. Not once. He sits in my lap. He sits next to me. He sits on my legs. But he does not get out of the chair.

The new phone has a camera on steroids. Among other things, it zoooooooooms. It's probably 25 feet from my chair to the railing this bird is sitting on.

Biggie keeps an eye on him.

And the selfie cam zooms, too.
