Look what I got this morning!!!



A taste of things to come. I hope soon to be bitching about how my terrace is being littered with these things. I hope, I hope.

Ok this will give my brother a fun chuckle. When I cleaned out my shelves in the kitchen, I saw room for this beauty. I've had my eyes on it for a while and now with a place to put it... it arrives today.



I hope it is a step above the easy bake oven of stand mixers but as long as it whips up a small batch of buttercream icing, and fits on my shelf, I'll be happy. I want my brother's 6" cakes!

My shelves arrived last night and they did just what I wanted. Tidy up the space. So yeah! I canceled the backup order.

I do have an Amazon return. That new Amazon Fresh store has a nice little counter just inside the front door, fully staffed, for returns. The hub where I have been going is convenient but this is even more convenient. Drop off, pick up a grocery item or two at the same time. Nice. The downside is that Krispy Kreme is not in the path like it was going to the other place. I actually haven't gotten a vaccination donut since my brother was here. I need to fix that.

I think I might go nowhere today. The house needs a good pick up and tidy and there's really nothing I need to go out for today. I'm fine with staying here. Less virus even without a mask.

Baking a blue streak

Ok so this easy back stand mixer was designed EXACTLY FOR ME!!!! It's so cute and so easy and so well designed. The bowl is really nice and deep. The beaters go in snugly (almost too snugly, I had a hard time ejecting them). The bowl goes side to side and around so you can get everything easily. Oh and the suction cups on the bottom WORK! And it fits perfectly in my space on my shelf. It's a keeper.

This is the buttercream-ish frosting from this frosted cookie recipe.



It's a winner. The cookie recipe does not sound that good but this icing is delish. Now I need to bake a cake! My cake pans come on Sunday. But, I already have good/big muffin/cupcake molds... or cookies... stay tuned!!

But, I am now out of powdered sugar...

I found this photo I forgot about yesterday. You know how grocery stores have those mini carts for kids? One or two and they are usually broken. Amazon Fresh has a bunch and they line them all up just like the adult ones. This cracked me up. Much as I hate to shop with little ones under my feet, I gotta give it to Amazon for this one. Nice nod to the short peops. If they had had these when I was 5, this would have been my second favorite grocery store ever.



My favorite was Grandma's grocery. It had a little booth at the front of the store where you could go in and watch cartoons with all the other kids while Grandma shopped. I LOVED that.
