Today's todo is getting the King to the vet. He's over there on his heating pad oblivious to his fate. I hope the vet's office is not slammed today. I only need to see a tech so, hopefully, not a long wait. My plan is to hold off until about 10 both for road traffic and vet traffic.
My Twitter feed shows snow flurries in parts of town. Seattle is a city of hills so hills get flakes. I'm down at sea level (Elliot Bay out to Puget Sound is two blocks from here.) so we get any snow action last. I don't expect we'll see any today. We have rain right now but there could be some stealth snow mixed in Snow would would be such fun, but I'm not counting on it.
I keep looking out the window for snow and His Honor is also watching the same window but his "snow" is flapping their wings.
The only items on my calendar this week are vet visits. I could probably even eat well out of the freezer right through Christmas. And not even go to the grocery. That shepards pie I made out of the turkey, dressing, gravy and mashed potatoes? Turn out it looks really awful and tastes delicious. Plus you cook it for about an hour at 400 degrees and it makes the house smell like a feast. I have one left.
A few of years ago, we lost electricity on Christmas Eve - for all damn day. I could do without that excitement. I'm fine with same ole same ole, thankyouvery much.
Now I think I'll get into the shower.
